3rd Grade Explorers

Third grade students that demonstrate higher order thinking skills during a   whole group lesson, are invited to come to explorers. Chosen students come to my class and explore challenging activities for a given number of lessons.

These students are not identified as Academically Gifted, but benefit from some extension activities outside of the regular classroom.

All third grade students will take an acheivement test in the spring to begin  the identification process for Academically Gifted. Students that qualify through a series of tests, will be identified at the end of third grade. They will begin receiving AG services in 4th grade.
