Title I?
How are students chosen for
Title I?
•
- Federally funded
- Helps students who are falling behind academically or who are at risk
- Based on the number of students eligible for free and reduced lunch in a school
- Funds are used for hiring teachers, purchasing materials and supplies, parental involvement activities, professional development opportunities, pre-kindergarten programs, etc
- • Classroom teachers assess students reading levels and pre-reading skills
- Title I teachers assess students with additional reading assessments
- Students
are given point values based on their performance
- Students with the highest point levels are eligible for Title I services
- Classroom teachers and Title I teachers discuss eligible students and possible instructional times

- 5 days per week
- 8 groups a day
- Benchmark

3rd grade & Fast Track for 4th-5th grades
- We provide parent workshops 4 times or more throughout the year
