In May 2009, parents and guardians were notified that Barwell Road Elementary will continue in Title I School Improvement, since a school must meet AYP goals for two years in a row to exit School Improvement.    Barwell Road Elementary is required to offer every student the option to enroll in another school for this year.    The NCLB choice options for the 2009-10 school year are:

1.      East Garner Elementary

2.      Swift Creek Elementary
